I have named my new blog "Islam and I" to write about the religion of Islam as I understand it. Being a born Muslim and follower of Islam, I will try to put across my view of Islam as I understand it in as easy words as possible without indulging my readers into any technicalities. However, where need be for further explanation, I will link my posts to sites that would explain further the topic under discussion.

Recently the word Islam or Muslim has been tainted to an extent that non Muslims around the world have an uneasy feeling in the presence of a Muslim and most even take them as terrorists and miscreants to spoil their peace. Which in fact should not have been the case for Islam always preaches peace and nothing but peace and tolerance even in the face of intolerance.

Over the years, the word Jihad and Jihadists has become synonymous with the religion of Islam and non Muslims are quick at labeling a Muslim a jihadist and thus a terrorist for the wrongdoings being committed across the word. Whereas on the contrary, majority of Muslims are peace loving barring a small minority which is being used for the nefarious designs of some world powers to destabilize a region and deface Islam.

With this in the the backdrop, this new blog of mine aims at introducing what Islam is and in the process try to clarify many a misgiving and misunderstanding about the religion of Islam.
